About Alwyn Jacobus Rautenbach, b4c8d12e2

Alwyn Jacobus was the oldest son of Pieter Andries and Helena J C Rautenbach. He was one of 7 children and his father died in 1901 (he was killed in the boer war). His mother with her 7 children, was in the British concentration camp in Middleburg (DBC83) - his unique ID no. was 80225 and they were in tent no. I240. They arrived in the camp on 25 April 1901 - it does however not say when they left. He was 12 years old. His mother the married Georg Reinhardt Pheiffer Moolman and moved to Gazaland with him in 1903.

He married Anna Elizabeth Moolman on 26 June 1916 in the Melsetter Church - Dr F H Badenhorst was the minister. They had 3 children. He died at the young age of 32 in 1922.
