Crossed the plains with Handcart company. 1859—Eighth Company—George Rowley, Captain Arrived 4 Sep 1859 in Salt Lake valley. She claims to have been spoiled by her parents as an only child. She was bright & learned to read & write for her father who could not. She was never very healthy. She & her husband were first couple to be married & sealed at the Endowment house from the Santaquin area. They were sealed by Apostle George Q. Cannon. She was faithful to the Gospel all her life
