HENNING CHRISTOFFEL (S in CJ 1255, p. 250). - Fehrbellin. Sergeant. Accompanied Olof Bergh on his expeditions to the North (1683) to the stranded English ship Joanna (1682) and to the wreck of the Portuguese ship Nostra Senhora de los Milagros (1686). Sentenced to five years' banishment on Robben Island for theft of valuables from the wreck. In 1692 back in the Comp.'s service in a menial capacity. (E.
