Burial: Glenbar Cemetery, Glenbar, Graham County, Arizona, USA

Anna, born in Alabama, left her home to head west with her then husband William Alma Young from whom she was later divorced. From Alabama she carried with her the cotton seed that she would plant in her new home in Matthewsville (now Pima) Arizona. This "pima cotton" would become the staple of the cotton industry. It was the first cotton planted in the Gila Valley of Arizona. Anna married Nathaniel Riggs, Sr. who would be the father of her daughter, Rachel Isabel Riggs, which daughter would marry Frances Kerby, III, a Mormon pioneer from the British Isles.
