Annie Mae was the daughter of Hinson and Bertha Jacobs Revels. She was the second wife of Bennie B. Sampson, Sr.

The following was taken from the Nov. 3, 1970 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Mrs. Annie Mae Sampson, 56, died Sunday night at the N. C. Cancer Institute.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie B. Sampson of Lumberton; five sons, B. B. Sampson Jr., Romulus Sampson, Robert, Mauray, and Aubrey, all of Lumberton; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Lovelace of Florida, Mrs. Audrey Oxendine of Pembroke, Mrs. Welton Stacy of Michigan, and Mrs. Georgia C. Paul of Lumberton; four step daughters, Mrs. Ruby Holmes, Mrs. Dorothy Dial and Mrs. Catherine Sampson of Lumberton, and Mrs. Shirley Hardin of McDonald; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
