Captain Anthony Armistead (ca. 1645-October 26, 1726) was a Justice of the Peace in Colonial Virginia, associated with the Bacon insurgent courts-martial in 1676. He was the son of William Armistead. He resided in Elizabeth City County, Virginia. He was part of Sir William Berkeley's courts-martial in 1676 to try the Bacon insurgents.
He was a justice of the peace and a captain of horse in 1680. He was a burgess in 1693, 1696, 1699, and one of the committee in 1700 reporting a revision of the laws which were approved by the General Assembly in 1705.
Captain Armistead married Hannah Ellyson, daughter of Dr. Robert Ellyson, of James City County, Virginia. Their children were:
