About Armin Freiherr Herman Popper von Podhrágy

Baron Armin Popper von Podhragy maintained residences in both Vienna and Trencin, among other places. He built the Hotel Elizabeth in Trencin in 1901, named after Empress Elizabeth, the assassinated wife of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria. In 1921, the name of the hotel was changed to the Hotel Tatra.
