Believed to have been descended from Armingall Wade, of Bellsize, near Hampstead, England, who was father of Sir William Wade, frequently mentioned in the progress of James I., and of whom there is a curious and interesting history in "Parke's History of Hampstead." He was a justice of York county and burgess in 1656. His will was proved April 24, 1677. Issue: 1. Armiger. 2. Mary married Captain John Hay. 3. Dorothy married John Lilly.
