About Arpad Moses Steiner
Arpad Steiner was the youngest son of Stefan and Sarah who owned vinyards and were also wine merchants in Hungary.
He was born in Dunajska Streda, Bratislava region, a part of Hungary until 1918. It was one of the richest towns in the Kingdom of Hungary. Its wealth was based on production of quality wines.
Hansi divorced Arpad quite young (it was an arranged marriage) and married her childhood sweetheart Lajos.
Arpad remarried. His second wife, Regina, was a widow (+ one son, Matthew born c. 1920) from Bucharest. They lived in Bratislava, and both perished in the Holocaust.
