His mother's name Mary was a full blooded indian woman. Had a brother name Rollie Bice but different father . Mary was never married . They also had a sister
that was married to a man name wood . Both of them die with the flu about the same time and left a large family of children behind who had to raise them self . The woods family mostly live around Ringold, Campti Etc .

Born at home with the Doctor arriving by horse . Born on the bayou in Campti Louisana in a farm house with no windows and only had wood door type windows and screens to open when it's hot and close when it's cold . Had a log chain through the door and wall with pad lock. I do remember trying to put that chain through the door and wall when we moved. Family move to Jordan Ferry at 3 years old in a new FHA house with 4 bedrooms and no bathrooms except outdoor out house and no running water . |
