From the Adjutant Gneral, State of Texas 25 March, 1916 to Lieut. A.N. Leecraft, Executive Department, Oklahoma City, Okla. re: Military record:

"In the printed reports of the Department, I find that the Denison Rifles was organized March 22, 1888, as Company C of the 6th Regiment, and at a later date was designated Company H, of the 6th Regiment; it entered the Spanish-America War and was designated Company K, Third Texas Volunteer Infantry.

I find that you were commissioned First Lieutenant November 1, 1890.

I am unable to find that Albert S. Leecraft was ever commissioned as Second Lieutenant."
