About Aurora Antonia Molina Aragon

Doña Aurora Aragon-Quezon was a civic leader and First Lady of the Philippines. She served as the first Chairman of the Philippine National Red Cross after its creation in 1947. She, her daughter Maria Aurora "Baby" Quezon and son-in-law Felipe Buencamino III were ambushed and killed by renegade members of the Hukbalahap, in Bongabong, Nueva Ecija -- five years after the death of President Quezon.

A species of Tropical Dogwood or Virgin Tree discovered in Los Banos, Laguna in 1915 and named after her in 1938 -- White Mussaenda Aurorae. The province of Aurora was named in her memory.
