I changed the circa birth date from 1090 to 1049 because it is well established that Bartholomew came to Scotland in the company of the future Queen Margaret in about the year 1067. I arbitrarily picked the year 1049 as it would have him arriving in Scotland at age 18. I have absolutely no basis for this, other than it is more reasonable than a date of 1090 which is considerably after his arrival in Scotland.
