About Bea Elizabeth "Lelia" Dalton

This person, "Bea Elizabeth Dalton", is not on the 1860, 1870 or 1880 censuses with the family of James L. and Adeline (Younger) Dalton. While she may have lived, evidence suggests someone wanted to be related to the Dalton gang and purposely fabricated her relationship to this family.

This is an example of genealogical fraud and it is well documented at: http://mykindred.com/cloud/TX/getperson.php?personID=I186034&tree=mykindred01

We will be fighting this fraud until more people start doing more due diligence in researching family trees. The truth matters.

It was not until after his death, in the early 1950s, that the accepted fact that he was not who he had claimed to be was registered and is now duly noted. Through his work on the subject, Jeremiah Franklin Dalton spawned a large number of imitators of sorts. ..."
