P29: "BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG (12) was b 24 May 1831, Auguta County, Virginia, and married ELIZABETH MOFFETT McCHESNEY (13). She was b 22 Aug 1835, Rockbridge County, Virginia and the daugther of George McChesney and Evelina Moffett (26-27). Dr. McChesney practiced medicine in Fincastle, Virginia. The McChesney's had moved from Rockbridge County to Roanoke County, Virginia, where they lived near Hollins on a place that gave its name to the settlement that developed there, Cloverdale. (Cloverdale is now in Botetourt County, Virginia.) Their daughter ELIZABETH (13) attended Hollins College, Hollins, Virginia. BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG (12) was a deacon in 1867 at Mount Horeb CHurch near Mount Meridian, Virginia. The Craig family lived nearby. For more information of the McChesney family, see allied Families."

P30,32: "BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG (12) was the grandfather of ELIZABETH CRAIG GARRETT (3). She says that her grandfather had a deformity of certain fingers and was unable to button or unbutton his collar. She remembers..."Grandpa Craig wearing a stiff, high, white collar. Grandma help him once a week to button his collar and it stayed until the next week. I remember seeing Grandpa fast asleep with his collar in place!" Granddaughter ELIZABETH (3) was very young and impressionable at the time as this happened in Waynesboro, Virginia in the early 1900's."

P32: "BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG (12) died 8 August 1914 and his wife, ELIZABETH (13) died 18 May 1914 in Flemington, Georgia, Liberty County; and both are buried in Waynesboro, Virginia. They were both living with their daughter, Lina Laird, at the time of their death."

P93: "ELIZABETH MOFFETT McCHESNEY (13) is incorrectly referred to as Elizabeth Johnston McChesney in Wayland's "Virginia Valley Records." She attended Hollins College, Virginia. She married BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG (12) b 1831 in Augusta Co., Virginia. Follow the BENJAMIN JAMES CRAIG descendants in Section I, page 29.
