Benjamin Franklin McGaughty was my grandfather, he was born in Tishmingo Miss. in 1879. He married Elizabeth Stanley some time after 1900 not sure exactly what year but they had 3 children, Albert was the oldest, Willie Mae the middle child was my Mother she was born in 1908, Paul the youngest child was born around 1910 or 11. My grandfather died around 1914 when my mother was about 6 years. My Grandfather was Irish and had the temper, he carried a bull whip all the time and died as a result of a fight with another person with a whip, He was struck in the eye by the whip which became infected and he died several weeks later. He was about 35 at the time. Have lots more info if anyone is interest.
