Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor church in Chackbay. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Shane Wheeler and Tria Benoit; one son-in-law, Jerome Benoit; one stepsister, Nellie Theriot; six grandchildren, J. David Wheeler, Kelly Stuckey, Krystal Thompson, Ryan Benoit, Brook Benoit and Jessica Chiasson and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Benoit; her parents, Eddie J. Ponvelle and Magnolia Ponvelle; one son, Phanor “Coe” Benoit; one granddaughter, Robin Wheeler; one son-in-law, Wilbur Wheeler; one grandson-in-law, Michael Thompson and two sisters, Orazon Becnel and Earline Hotard. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
