See - Bertram Polak regarding a documentary film being made about Bertram Polak.
In 1940, Bertram Polak, a 22-year-old Jewish boy from Tilburg, was fighting in the Dutch army against the Germans. On May 14, the Netherlands surrendered and Bertram returned home. Het found the house empty, because his father, stepmother and three sisters fled with the last possible boat to England. The family survives the war safely abroad. In 1941, Bertram tries to escape, but is arrested and murdered in Auschwitz in 1942.
The documentary was shown on Omroep Brabant and here is a link to watch it. http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?epg%2F3379662%2FHier+was+Bertram.aspx
