Bibiana Abella Diaz was born on 17 August 1917 in Naga, Albay, Philippines. She was the eldest child of Domingo Diaz and Concepcion Isaac Abella. Babing, as she was nicknamed, attended the the Colegio de Santa Isabel in Naga, and later the Assumption Convent in Manila. Babing eloped with Crisanto Nicolas Guysayko and their union was blessed with four children: Maria Concepcion (Marichi), Maria Peñafrancia (Penny), Maria Luisa and Crisanto (Colacho).
