When the Turkish and Uskok disturbances ended in the Urbar in 1570, there were five hides left in the village of Amberg. This Urbar is the first reference to a Gotenc in Slovenia.

In the year 1681 the village of AmBerg was re-divided into the several villages including Poden. Two whole hides in Boden/Poden (current Slovenia) bore the names of Gotenc and Piskorin after the family names of their inhabitants. The first hide developed later into the independent village, Gotenc.
