Mother Bobbie Lee Gilbert, Was the last Daughter of the late John Paul Davis and Anna Lee Yates and the Daughter-in-Law of Thomas Henry Gilbert & Louisa Smith also of Hawkinsville, Georgia; where she was born and raised in Cochran, Georgia on Monday, September 29, 1924.

She grew up in Bleckley County, Georgia, where she was educated at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she became a christian at an early age.

She later met and married the late James Henry Gilbert in Miami, Florida, where they later settled their family in Miami, Fla, the deep south, and they both joined Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church until God called her home on Wednesday, October 9, 1991 at 67 years of age.

She leaves to mourn a loving and faithful devoted family, one son, Johnnie Lee Davis, six daughters, Christine Davis of Cochran, Georgia, Jeannie and Jannie Green of Paterson, New Jersey, Luisa Gilbert, Earnestine Gilbert and Bertina Gilbert of Miami, Florida, fourteen grandchildren, Rev. Melvin Leon Green, Montanga of Atlanta, Georgia, Johnnie Lee Davis Jr, Lashawn Gilbert, Haskell Gilbert, Trachesia Gilbert, Quatrella Williams, Karimah Sheffield, Brianna Gilbert, of Miami, Florida and Samuel Mamuel, Garret Manuel, Terrance Manuel, Ronald Manuel, Catina Manuel, Ervin, and thirty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and sorrowing friends.
