1842 Cherokee Claims, Skin Bayou District, claim of Katy Spencer nee Pumpkin; Katy states that she lived with her uncle after her father died, and that he died c1816. (It's quite possible that the unknown uncle that Katy mentions here is actually Doublehead and that she got his death date incorrect).

The Moravian Diaries in describing the death of Doublehead in 1807 also mentioned that an unnamed brother of Doublehead escaped the assassins at that time; so this may be the uncle that Katy stayed with.
