About Bunem Lebel, Reb
Entering Piotrkow on September 5 1939, the Germans tried to set fire to the predominately Jewish section of the city, shooting dead those Jews who ran from the burning buildings.
After the fires had died down, the soldiers entered one of the houses that escaped flames. The shot 5 of the 6 inhabitants, Reb Bunem Lebel did not die of his wounds immediately. He died later.
