Ben notes: The Mormon church maintains a FamilySearch search engine that taps into their databanks about the genealogies that it keeps. Information on Burrel A. Jackson indicates that his middle name could be Andrew or Alva. There are no other sources online that indicate Alva, but Robert Parkison seems to be certain of it being Andrew. This should not be taken as proof alone, as he gets a number of other names among Burrel's children wrong (Rosa "Delighta", "Robin" William, etc., probably misinterpretation of the 1900 Wyoming Census data, see from the data that follows this), but there was a curious reference by Rose Delitha Jackson as having introduced herself to another family member as being "Andrew Jackson's daughter," which would fit if Burrel's middle name were Andrew (source of quote: Joy Jewett, see John Thomas Jackson's profile).

Excerpt from Rosa Delitha Jackson letter dated July 10, 1944, to her sister Jessie::
"My first clear picture is when we moved to Father's timber claim in Rooks County, Kansas. Mother said I was nearly 4 years old. As the wagon stopped, I remember seeing the back ends of a bay team, which must have been Uncle John's. As Father reached up and lifted me down off the load of household goods and stood me on the ground, he said, 'This is your new home'. As they unloaded, I, child-like, followed Mother into the new stone-front dugout, where she picked up a spade and began to dig off the dirt of the bank Father had not finished. He had built a fireplace."
