Richard and Charity had 10 children the last of which was John 1764-1840 Vicar of Steyning who married Charlotte Jane BROOKS 1792-1843. They had 13 children the last of which was Dr Christopher Rawson 1811-1870 married Mary HOLT. With their baby daughter Mary Georgina Ann they emigrated to South Australia in 1844 and bought the Grange Estate, Magill and planted vine cuttings Dr C R had obtained in Bordeaux.

M Georgina A married Thomas Francis HYLAND from Ballinamallard (wrongly spelt Ballinilard on his tomb) Co Fermanagh, a prison warder later Govenor of Castlemaine Gaol in Victoria. They had 4 daughters and 3 sons.

Inez 1863-1992 wrote poems published postumously by grandmother Mary as 'In Sunshine and in Shadow'

Imogen 1865 presumed died in infancy.

Estelle 1868 eloped to England name erased by family.

Harold 1871 presumed died in infancy.

Vivian Dolores 1877 presumed died in infancy.

Frank Astor 1872-1948 m Gladys LETHBRIDGE had daughter Rada who was instrumental in change from fortified wine to table wine after WW2. Her daughter Rebel (yes Rebel) PENFOLD RUSSELL wrote for NSW fashion magazine 'Mode'

Herbert Leslie 1875-1940 m Edith Mary (-?) had 4 children the first Francis William 1904-1946 m Geneviève MALCOLM.

They had two daughters Elizabeth PENFOLD HYLAND and Judith Ann PENFOLD HYLAND who both continued the wine company until sold to Southcorp.
