About Anthony Low

Anthony Low lived in Warwick from 1656 until 1676. During King Philip's War, in March, 1676, his new house in Swansea was burned. In a letter to John Winthrop, Roger Williams writes that the Indians "... had burnt about twelve houses, one new great one (Anthonie Loes).". He assisted Captain Church during King Philip's War by carrying him "from newport to Sognacate, and thence to Sandwich, in July, 1676, at the risk of vessel and cargo."
