US Congressman. Elected to represent South Carolina's 6th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1795 to 1797. Also served as a Member of the South Carolina State Legislature.

Samuel Earle (1760-1833) — of South Carolina. Born in Frederick County, Va., November 28, 1760. Served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War; member of South Carolina state house of representatives, 1784-88; delegate to South Carolina convention to ratify U.S. constitution, 1788; delegate to South Carolina state constitutional convention, 1790; U.S. Representative from South Carolina 6th District, 1795-97. Died in South Carolina, November 24, 1833 (age 72 years, 361 days). Interment at Beaverdam Cemetery, Westminster, S.C.

Relatives: Nephew of Elias Earle; cousin of John Baylis Earle (1766-1863).
