About Capt. Robert Patrick

Captain Robert was a "Conductor of Teams" who took his oath of office on June 24, 1782. The original document on file with the Pension Record #S28-837 at the National Archives is from a file relating to the claim based on his Revolutionary War service. He served six months as part of the baggage corps as a "carter". He was born with only one hand so he was rejected from the regular army. After the war he moved from Lebanon CT and settled in Canaan, NY where he was a resident in 1790.
