Carlos Lyon Sessions (1842 - 1926), son of Perrigrine Sessions (1814 - 1893) and Julia Ann Kilgore (1815 - 1845), was born 16 July 1842 at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois; he died at the age of 83 on 11 April 1926 at Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California; and is buried at Bountiful Memorial Park, Plot: a-1-8-4, Bountiful, Davis County, Utah. He married (1) Elizabeth Wintle, on 2 April 1864 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory; (2) Sally Hill, in May 1882; (3) Mary Rakestraw.

Obituary: Services Tomorrow For Carlos Lyon Sessions

Funeral services for Carlos Lyon Sessions, 84, pioneer of 1847, will be held in the Bountiful First ward tabernacle tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Sessions was the odlest son of Perrigrine and Julia Ann Kilgore Sessions, born July 16, 1843, at Nauvoo, Ill. At the age of 4 he came to Utah with the Parley P. Pratt company, arriving September 21, 1847.

Death came Tuesday at Los Angeles, where he had resided for the past year. The body arrived Friday and will lie in state Sunday at the home of Esther Sessions prior to the services. Carlos Lyon Sessions is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann, and the following children by former marriage to Elizabeth Wintle Sessions: George B., Lillie Bruce, Barney W., Harvey W., Julia E. Wallis, Oscar B., Hannah L. Simpson and Nannie B. Boyd.

Mr. Sessions was a member of the seventieth quorum of the seventies. He filled a two-year mission in Colorado and Arizona. He held several civic offices in Davis county, including Bountiful city marshal and school trustee.
