Caroline Henrietta BATHURST was born in 1834 at Chatham, Kent.1 She was the daughter of Richard BATHURST and Phoeby URIDGE.1 In the census of 7 June 1841 at 6 Brand Street, Greenwich, London, she was listed as the daughter of Richard BATHURST.3,4,5,6 She was mentioned in Richard BATHURST's will made on 28 May 1845.7,8 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 3 East Street, Greenwich, Kent, she was listed as the daughter of Phebe BATHURST.9 She emigrated with her mother Pheobe and six siblings on the ship "Samarang" in July 1852 to New Zealand; on the ship "Samarang". The ages are the children are recorded as younger.
