WATSONTOWN — Carrie M. Heater, 81, of Fisher Drive, Watsontown, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in her home.

Born Oct. 19, 1926, in rural Fleetwood, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Gertrude M. (Cronrath) Seidel.

She and her husband, Ralph S. Heater, were married Jan. 19, 1946.

Mrs. Heater graduated from Muhlenburg High School with the Class of 1944.

She retired from Spring Window Fashions, Montgomery, in 1991.

Mrs. Heater was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watsontown, since 1970.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting and sewing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jay R. Heater and his companion Francine Bishop of Watsontown, Ralph C. and Debra Heater of Watsontown and Gary L. and Gina Heater of Allenwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and Wayne Dentler of Watsontown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard L. and Barry L. Seidel, both of Fleetwood, and Jerry C. Seidel of Morris; and three sisters, Anna Mae Bisbach of Sun City Coast, Fla., and Gloria F. Youse and Patricia J. Noll, both of Fleetwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl M. in 2007, Harold C. in 2006, and Marvin in 1976; and a sister, Betty J. Hetrick in 2008.

Visitors may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. Jill Seagle, her pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Delaware Run Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown, Pa. 17777 or the Warrior Run Area Fire Company, PO Box 8, Watsontown, Pa. 17777.
