http://www.geni.com/people/Catherine-Freeman/6000000011254118953 (correct profile) There is another profile for Catherine Brooks Freeman, my cousin and my partner's 4th Great Grandmother, managed by Terri Mapes. Much of the information is the same; however, her parents are both listed as Wrights not Brooks. Also, I have run pathways and they end up with Catherine as a relative instead of a grandmother for Mark and nothing for me. So, something is not right with the profile’s info and connections, the main reason I refused a merge. Ms. Mapes has used the fraudulent work of Gustave Anjou for her Freeman profile lines. I have written to her explaining that the info is not correct, but she never responded. Everyone on the direct NJ Freeman Line (which is the main line, shared by the Barnstable, Vermont and NY Freemans), above our Henry Freeman, b. NJ, ARE NOT CORRECT AND ARE DISPUTED INDIVIDUALS by both the FTDNA Freeman Project and the New England Genealogical Society. There is now an Anjou Project on Geni, started and managed by our head curator, Pam Wilson. Please visit the project for names of families affected by Anjou’s work.
