Louise Françoise Adélaïde de Saint-Germain * 13.01.1769 + Jean Pierre Bachasson de Montalivet

Eleanor Catherine Bénard (Bernard) ( 1740 - 23 June 1769 ) was one of the mistresses of Louis XV .

Born in Versailles , she was the daughter of Pierre Bénard, Esquire of the king's mouth.

She married in 1768 Joseph Starot Saint-Germain , former-general who was guillotined in 1794 .

She was the mother of Adelaide-Louise-Françoise de Saint-Germain (Versailles 1769 - Thauvenay 1850 ), Countess of Montalivet, named after her godmother Madame Adelaide , who married in Valencia in 1797 Jean-Pierre Bachasson, Count of Montalivet ( 1766 - 1823 ).  Adelaide is regarded as one of the natural daughters of Louis XV. 

It is quadrisaïeule of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing , President of the French Republic from 1974 to 1981.
