Son Thomas (born 1858) and daughter Mary Jane (born 1860) were born in Limerick.
Arrived at Fremantle, Western Australia on the convict ship Lincelles on 28 January 1862 with husband (Pensioner Guard) Patrick and children Thomas and Mary Jane. They were in Perth and Fremantle for a couple of years (daughter Catherine born in Perth in 1863) before moving to Geraldton (son John born in Geraldton in 1866).
Husband Patrick died at their home in Geraldton in 1880.

Old Resident's Death.— After being in failing health for some months, Mrs Hogan, of Eleanor Street, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon at the advanced age of 92 years. Deceased, who was held in high esteem, was the widow of the late Patrick Hogan, a Crimean veteran. The funeral took place at the Roman Catholic cemetery, the officiating minister being the Rev Father Hawes. The pall bearers were Messrs J. M. Drew, T. W. Drew, W. Bennett, W. Keighley, J. Silcock and T. Nylan. The remains were enclosed in a polished jarrah casket, and the arrangements were supervised by Mr Geo. Lester.
