About Fernando Pérez de Traba

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_P%C3%A9rez_de_Traba

Fernando Pérez de Traba was a distinguished Galician noble who played a vital role in twelfth-century Peninsular politics.1 He was born circa 1100. He was the son of conde de Traba Pedro Fróilaz de Traba.1 Fernando Pérez de Traba assumed a commanding position in the Portuguese court following the death of Count Henry, by reason of his intimate relationship with Henry's wife, Teresa before 1128.1 He was a witness where Afonso I "O Conquistador", rei de Portugal acquired control of Portugal from his mother, who had been regent for him, in 1128 at the Battle of São Mamede, near Guimarães, Braga, Portugal.2 Fernando Pérez de Traba fled to the court of Alfonso VII of Castile following his banishment from Portugal in 1128.1 He married Sancha González before 1154.
