Cecil Marcus Knatchbull-Hugessen, 4th Baron Brabourne of Brabourne was born on 27 November 1863. He was the son of Edward Hugessen Knatchbull-Hugessen, 1st Baron Brabourne of Brabourne and Anna Maria Elizabeth Southwell.1 He married Helena Regina Frederica von Flesch Brunningen, daughter of Hermann von Flesch Brunningen, on 8 November 1893.1 He died on 15 February 1933 at age 69, while at sea.
Cecil Marcus Knatchbull-Hugessen, 4th Baron Brabourne of Brabourne graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1890 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.2 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Brabourne of Brabourne, Kent [U.K., 1880] on 11 March 1915. He succeeded to the title of 13th Baronet Knatchbull, of Mersham Hatch, co. Kent [E., 1641] on 30 July 1917
