Mr Charles Valdemar Jensen, 25, was born on Copenhagen, Denmark.
When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 17 Morris Road (Southampton). His last ship had been the Atrato. As a saloon steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. He was the only crew member from Scandinavia
Jenson died in the sinking, leaving a widowed mother Maren Justine Christine Jensen (neé Mikkelsen), a sister and two brothers. The Mansion House Fund paid £20 and later £60 to his mother. She later received a further £80 in compensation.
His body, if recovered, was never identified.
