About Christian henri Wibaux
1942. Born in Casablanca Morocco
1943. Grew up with cousin Yves in La Corniche at hotel Swiss with mother whilst Father was at war .
1948 Grew up on farm in Jorf el Mellah a citrus and cereal farm that father leased and partly owned from his own father.
1951- 1952 Attended school in Casablanca and boarded with various people including uncles and aunties.
1953 Went on to Meknes Delasalle school for 3years as a full time boarder.
1956 Back to Casablanca for a further year in at the end of which I was sent to Hastings in Sussex England to learn English prior to our migration to Australia due to unrest in Morocco after independence in 1955.
1957 January left on HMS Orontes for Australia with all family via Canary island
Cape Town, Durban, Perth ,Adelaide, Melbourne ,arriving Sydney.SUEZ canal was blocked due to wars at the time. Were welcomed by Yves and his Mother Yvonne who were our migration sponsors at the time. Moved straight to Gold Coast where they lived and from there parents searched for suitable Farm, found Nambour after meeting other French people there.
1958 Attended Nambour High school for next 4 years.
1962 Attended De La Salle College Scarborough.
1963 Attended University of QLD for 2 years Agricultural Science.
1964 Married to Joan Elizabeth Amess
1965 Joined International Harvester as field representative. Lived in Warwick QLD . Elizabeth born in Brisbane Mater Mother’s hospital.
1966 Philip born in Brisbane Mater Mother’s hospital.
1967 Left IHC to return to Brisbane ,joined Campbell bros as office clerk.
1968 Joined NCR as company representative in cash register sales.
1969 Rejoined the farm in partnership with brother Pat and Father in expanding Banana farm
1970 Robert John born in Nambour General hospital. After living in Nambour flat moved to next door farm that we leased and eventually purchased.
1971- 1972 Moved to Caloundra to establish Tea tree Fruit Center . Catherine Adele born in Nambour hospital
1974 Sold the tea tree fruit centre and went to America to launch Handi Chair with Jack and Laurence Took family there for holiday .
1976 Returned Caloundra to start Sandblasting and Metal Spraying business.
1979 Sold business and moved back on the farm to build house and partner brother Pat again and wholesale farm fruit after expanding farm again.
1999 Built nursery at back of house after cyclone demolished the stone fruit and mango farm that was established.
2000 Did well with nursery Joan gets pancreatic cancer
2001 Joan dies after long illness .
2002 Chris meets Pamela Craig and winds up nursery. Lives on the coast in Buddina in a state of retirement after selling property to Tina Batson, sister of Daniel, wife of Adam Wibaux. ==
