About Christopher Myers

A Patriot of the American Revolution for MARYLAND with the rank of Private. DAR Ancestor #: A134796

Christopher was born in March 1759 in Frederick County, Maryland. He served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in the 7th Regiment of the Maryland Militia under Capt. Phillip Morningstar. He helped guard 500 British prisoners held at Fredericktown. In 1833, Christopher began receiving a $20 per year Pension for his military service. He died between 1840 [Federal census] and 1845 [Pension payments were stopped]. According to the Official Roster of the Soldiers of the American Revolution Buried in the State of Ohio, he is buried in Knox County, Ohio, however the location is unknown.
