Educated in the schools of Lisbon and Littleton,N.H., until 1883, and then, for one year, in a school at Jamaica Plain, Mass. From 1885 he was for several years clerk in Houghton & Dutton's store in Boston, then hotel-office clerk in the Carlton House, Chelsea, Mass., and since May 1898, has been lessee and manager of the Central House, Chelsea.
