About Claus Ehlers
He immegrated in 1845 to Morgan County, Missouri. He came on the Bark Eliza Thornton arriving in New Orleans 30 Oct 1845. He was burried in Pyrmont Trinity Missouri Lutheran Cemetery north of Stover, Missouri. He was a farmer and carpenter. He resided in Richland Township, Morgan County, Missouri. He was a Private in Capt. Nolting's Company C of the German Regiment of Benton County, Missouri Home Guard Volunteers from 13 June 1861 to 13 September 1861.
