A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA with the rank of LIEUTENANT COLONEL. DAR Ancestor # A005389

Info added per DAR's "Lineage Book of the Charter Members" by Mary S Lockwood and published 1895 stating he was a "captain of infantry, lieutenant colonel, commanding his own regiment of the line, and volunteer aid-de-camp to Gen. Washington.
