Simeon Cary was a Captain in the French and Indian War, in the years 1758, and 1759; was a Colonel in the Revolutionary war, in 1776.

During the American Revolution, Colonel Simeon Cary commanded a Massachusetts militia unit (from Bristol and Plymouth Counties) in Fellows' Brigade at the Battle of Long Island (27 August 1776).
