Testamentary disposition, dated Aug. 11, 1676, and written in Dutch.

"Lawful wife and seven children" "the survivors to possess the whole estate." "In case husband and wife should remarry, then he or she" is "to divide one half with the children as their patrimonal share." Note: "What has not been perfectl y expressed above is that one child shall not receive more than the rest of them."--Signed by the testator and witnessed by WESSEL TEN BROECK and DIRCK JANSEN SCHEPOMOES. -------------------- Heer Isaac GREVENRAEDT, a New York Merchant, had been installed in the Kingston schout's office so that he might keep an eye on river traffic and spot dodgers of the city of New York's tax on commerce. He conducted the prosecution of a charge of slander brought by Cornelius WYNCOOP against Harman Hendricks ROSECRANS in May of 1671.
