In 1850 "a" Daniel Fockler lived on Lot 14 Concession 8 Whitchurch Township. The Focklers went to Sanilac in the fall of 1871 after the fire of 1871. 1880 census says age 62, which makes birthyear about 1818, but birthyear of 1824 is on his gravestone. He was likely influenced by his brother Henry who was in Worth Township Sanilac by abt 1855 or so. He lived Lexington Township Sanilac county. William's father Daniel was also born near the hamlet of Lemonville Whitchurch Township, York County Ontario on 13 December 1824. He married 21 July 1846 at ? to Mary Orton, daughter of ? He died 17 March 1893 and is buried ? He was a farmer and lived Section ? Lexington Township at time of 1880 census. No death records found for Daniel or Mary in Sanilac County death records. Mary was born 1825 and died in 9 June 1891 and is buried in the Ridge Cemetery Sanilac Township.
