By his will, his son Ebenezer was to have his negro servant Mark; son Samuel, administrator, was to have three other slaves.
"Old Newbury": Daniel lived till 1765 and left at his decease nearly or quite as large a landed estate as his father. What is known as Noyes Neck, of nearly or quite 100 acres, was owned by him, given to his son John and in 1912 was still held almost entirely by his descendants. In his will, his slaves had increased to four.
