Daniel Pike served as ensign at Bunker Hill under Capt. Abel Wilder & Col Ephraim Doolittle. In 1832, he was allowed a pension for nine months actual service as ensign Massachusetts line. Daniel Pike responded to the Lexington Alarm as lieutenant in Capt. Jonas Allen's company of minute men under Colonel Doolittle.
