David Baldwin, s. of Joseph Baldwin and Elizabeth Grover was b. in Malden, Mass., Sept. 1,1701; he d. Mar. 7,1784. He came from Hingham, Mass. to Spencer, Mass. about 1740. He was architect of the Congregational Church, raised June 9,1772. He married with ABIGAIL BURR, who was b. Aug. 17,1701 in Hingham, Plymouth, Mass.,d. in Ashfield, Mass., June 5,1778.

Children: Asa (1723), Zebulon (1726), Abigail (1727), Frederick (perhaps d. young as Draper leaves him out of his "History of Spencer"., David (1733), Silence (1735), Jonathan (1742), and Mary (1743).

Note: Lewis' letter numbers the daughters, but does not name them, and Draper's "History of Spencer" leaves out Frederick.
