Notes

From Find A Grave Memorial# 44812073

"Some family trees have James Wood (1707-1759), Colonel in the Frederick County militia, first Clerk of Frederick County, Virginia, friend of George Washington and builder of the first "Glen Burnie" recorded as our ancestor. However, this James Wood was born in Winchester, Hampshire, England. He married Mary Rutherford in 1738. There is no mention of a David Wood (1737-1813), our ancestor, being one of the children born to James and Mary Rutherford Wood. If our records are accurate, David Wood was born in 1737, one year before the recorded marriage of James and Mary Rutherford Wood. "
