Ved Christa Lütjen så har vi fått denne eposten: Dear Mr. Egil, our society received the question of Nov. 12th you've directed to the Bremen 'Staatsarchiv'. We're not able to confirm that Johann Fasmer is a son of Dietrich Fasmer and Gretje Kreye. The Fasmer/Kreye couple is mentioned in a card file of Bremen inhabitants. 'Dietrich Fassmer + 18.01.1549, son of Heinrich Vassmer, married to Gretje Kreye + 10.09.1577, daughter of Heinrich Kreye and Wubke Esich. In this card file and even in the so called 'Golden Book' with genealogical tables is mentioned that they hadn't any children. There are no church registers of that time, so this can't be proved. It may be possible that a son had been emigrated in early times, which here had not been documented. We're sorry that we couldn't help you in this case.
